Single Point Load Cell

Platform type load cells, also known as single point load cells, are load cells that are produced in different shapes and sizes to adapt to different types of applications and stand out with their ability to adapt to off-centre sliding loads. They can be used alone in various weighing applications.

In weighing applications, the load must be aligned with the cell in order to measure weight. An accurate measurement cannot be made if the load is off-axis. Thanks to the geometric design in the form of platform type load cells, it provides more flexibility and can continue to measure accurately even if the weight is unevenly distributed.

There is an internal opening in the body of the platform type load cells. This opening controls the thickness of the metal at various points along the body, allowing the load cell to weigh off-center loaded weights.

Thanks to these features, platform type load cells do an excellent job in platform scales where variables that may affect the exact placement of loads are encountered. Wherever loads are placed on the platform, it is still possible to accurately measure weight. It eliminates human errors that may occur during loading on the platform. In addition, instead of placing a load cell in each corner, it can be used alone in platform scale applications and for low-capacity precision weighing operations.
