Dynamometer

Dynamometer

Dynamometer is a force measuring device used for different purposes in multiple fields. There are different versions depending on the material to be measured. Weighing dynamometers used for weight and strain measurement convert the tensile force applied to it and the strain on it into weight data that can be read and recorded by users.

What Is A Dynamometer, How Does It Measure Weight?

Speaking in terms of weight measurement, the dynamometer is a kind of load cell. The point where it differs from platform load cells in other weighing applications is that the object whose weight is to be measured is not placed on the dynamo. Dynamometers, in the simplest terms, measure the weight of the objects they lift or carry with the help of any mechanism and position them between two separate ends. It measures the pulling force that occurs between these two ends.

All objects are affected by the gravitational force. Therefore, every suspended object that has been cut off from the ground will want to return to the ground again. When there is a dynamometer in the systems that allow the objects to be suspended or lifted, the force applied by the object to reach the ground creates a strain on the dynamometer. The same situation can be seen between two points that exert opposite forces or that one is stationary and the other is in motion. This strain is converted into digital values that can be understood by users through the weighing indicator and can be read on the indicator's screen.

Where to use a Dynamometer?

It makes weight measurement extremely easy for many sectors, such as not placing weights on top of it, carrying out the measurement by carrying the load. We can list some of the sectors where weight and strain measurements are made with dynamometers:

  • Shipping and logistics
  • Shipyards
  • Ports
  • Mining
  • Constructions
  • Aircraft manufacture and repair

Where is the Dynamometer used?

Of course, the sectors are not limited to these. Dynamometers are the favorite of all sectors thanks to their ability to measure without lowering the loads to the platforms, to be lighter and stronger than crane scales, to reach higher capacities, and to measure strain, tensile and force.

Here are some examples of usage areas other than weight measurement:

  • Strain, tensile and force tests
  • Monitoring of rope tension
  • Crane and lift calibration
  • Proof load test

What About You Should Be When You Want To Buy A Dynamometer?

As with any load cell, the weight range you will measure is important when choosing a dynamometer. For high weights, you need to choose a product that is made of durable material and whose maximum capacity will meet your needs.

Since there are models with wired, wireless and built-in display and models that can be controlled from the hand indicator, you should decide which one is more suitable for you.
Depending on the area you will be using it in, the material the dynamometer will be made of will be important. You should use products with corrosion-resistant, leak-proof displays.

Please contact us to get information about our dynamometer prices and models that have all of these and more, and to discuss your needs in weighing applications.

Don't forget to take a look at our crane scale and mobile weighing scale solutions.

Why Weilo?

Weilo is the first manufacturer in Turkey of three different dynamometer and eyebolt pin models in total.

All of our dynamometers and eyebolt pins have CE certificates and are produced 100% locally in our factory in Konya in accordance with 20006/42/EC standards. Our dynamo modules include FM models with a built-in display and DMA models that can be connected wirelessly to external displays. In our product portfolio, there are also our eyebolt pin models, which are specially produced to measure the forces in the tensile direction, designed by adding pin type load cells to omega type screw kits.
