Web Tension Load Cell

Tension control load cells are load cells that measure the tension of the rollers located in winding and unwinding reels.

Thanks to their four-pin connection element, they can be easily mounted on the roller in the tension measuring area. When the end of the roller in the reel is placed in the groove of the load cell, the tension that the roller is subjected to during the process is monitored. When tension is applied to the material on the roller, this force is directly transferred to the strain gauges and the resulting value changes are monitored by the users.

Regular monitoring of the tension control allows operation within the limits that will not damage the materials in the machine and prevents product waste. In process optimization, it is extremely useful in increasing efficiency.

Tension control load cells are commonly used in the following machines and processes:

• Printing machines in printing houses
• Weaving machines in textiles

They have a more durable structure with their alloy bodies that have been carefully cleaned by heat treatment and sandblasting, and then homogeneously coated with nickel to resist corrosion. In addition, they can be produced from stainless steel for your special needs, and it is possible to use specially produced steel armored cables for heavy-duty conditions, as well as silicone exproof cables that can operate at 180°C and withstand short-term exposure to 220°C heat instead of standard cables.
